Conservation Programmes:
Working closely with tertiary education institutions, we develop and facilitate Wildlife and Conservation programmes in South Africa that complement, enhance and enrich your academic study programmes. Academic field trips are customised to include experiences that meet the learning outcomes of each group. Depending on the objectives of the institutions, the conservation and wildlife programmes can form part of a formal academic module or as a supplementary experiential learning. Courses are typically 10 to 14 days and presented in prominent National Parks and Private Nature Reserves.
Work Experience:
We believe practical work experience and professional network expansion are critical to the development of professionals working in the environmental sector and provide opportunities for local and international graduates to work with Apex on a variety of challenging environmental projects ranging from ecological assessments to hands-on restoration activities.
Mentorship and Internship Programmes:
Apex is actively involved in providing mentorship programmes aimed at developing priority skills in the green economy creating sustainable job opportunities for graduates. Apex currently hosts two interns as part of SANBI’s Groen Sebenza programme.
